Group Terms and Conditions
This list of Clink Hostels Terms & Conditions only applies to groups (+15 people) and not to independent travellers (also called backpackers). Click here to see our general Terms & Conditions.

1. Arrivals and Departures
New arrivals can check into their rooms after 2:30pm each day. Groups may arrive earlier and leave their luggage at the hostel (depending on availability) but access to rooms will not be granted until after 2:30pm. Departing groups must remove all their belongings from their rooms and check out by 10am. We offer free luggage-room storage until 14.30. Unfortunately, we cannot always facilitate groups who need to leave luggage later than this.
2. Check In
One group leader is required to give a credit-card upon arrival for the “Group Deposit”. This needs to be the card holder. We will pre-authorise the card for £300. Money will be deducted if; members of group are misbehaving in or outside the building, underage people are found in the bar (regardless if they are drinking alcohol or not), interfering with the fire alarm or smoking in the room, bus driver is not following the coach instructions, key cards for room access are lost or misplaced. 3. Age Restriction
Clink78 does not accept students under the age of 16 however all age groups are welcome at our sister hostel Clink261. Group bookings cannot be accepted from any person under the age of 16. If you arrive with a group where students are less than 16 years of age then check-in will be refused to your entire group and no refund will be given if you have booked Clink78 backpacker hostel. Unlike some hostels we do not have an upper age limit. Please be aware that you may be assigned a top bunk!
4. Cancellation
If you cancel your group reservation less than 30 days before arrival, no refund will be given. If you cancel your reservation more than 30 days before arrival, the 1st night’s deposit will not be refunded but we will not ask you to pay the remaining balance.
5. Guest Behaviour
The comfort, safety and security of our guests is of paramount importance to Clink hostels. Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be requested to leave the hostel premises and will not be given a refund. Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, local residents and property.
6. Smoking
Smoking is not permitted. Any guest found smoking within the building will be fined £50.00 and asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be given a refund. A smoking area and ashtrays are provided in the smoking area in the basement at Clink78 for guests who wish to smoke. Guests can smoke on the pavement outside Clink261.
7. Drug use
Drug use is illegal in England. Any guest found using drugs within the building will be fined £300.00 and asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be given a refund.
8. Alcohol consumption
Alcohol consumption is only allowed for over 18s guests in England. Due to our bar license at Clink78 it is not permitted to enter Clink78’s premises with alcohol. If you are found entering Clink78 with alcohol it will be confiscated until your leave the building (check out). Alcohol is available in the clashbar and can be consumed in the basement common rooms.
9. Personal Property
Guests may use secure small lockers for small valuable items (located in each pod bed or the luggage rooms of the hostels. Alternatively, payable lockers are avaolable in the internet courtroom at Clink78 and at reception at Clink261. It is the guest's responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times. Clink hostels accept no liability for the loss, theft or damage to property however sustained or caused. Please bring a padlock to use with your luggage & backpack.
10. Liability
Except in relation to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, Clink hostels’ liability remains, at all times, limited to the value of the services booked, excluding any amendment charges paid to us.
11. Your Information
Clink hostels shall only store and use information you supply to us or which is supplied to us for the purposes of carrying out our contract with you and to inform you of other services and offers which we make available from time to time. 12. Errors and Omissions
Any omission or error in sales literature, web pages or site, order form, quotation, price list, order acknowledgement, despatch note, invoice or other document issued by us may be corrected by us without liability. We will advise you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as is reasonably possible thereafter.
13. Discretion
All bookings are subject to availability and Clink hostels reserve the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
