It won’t be long until we open our first hostel outside of the UK and there can’t be many better places to do this than in Amsterdam!

As you can imagine, EasyJet is starting to make a good amount of money from our team, as they visit the cultural capital of the Netherlands to sort out the millions of logistics issues of renovating a building.

Double Trouble in Amsterdam

During one of his latest visits, Clink Hostels’ Sales and Marketing Manager, Dave Double, chanced upon an Amsterdam Marathon poster and immediately wanted to get involved!

He completed the Jersey Marathon last year, donating £1,175 to Cancer Research UK, and wanted to continue one of our core values of working within the local community by getting involved with a Dutch charity.  For the AMS Marathon Dave will be raising money for a charity in Amsterdam.

So, that’s happening!

The Route

Returning for its 39th year, the Amsterdam Marathon is held across one of the most beautiful routes around the world.

If starting and finishing in the amazing Olympic Stadium wasn’t impressive enough, the runners will see some of Amsterdam’s most iconic sites, including:

·         Maritime Museum

·         Nature reserves

·         River Amstel

·         Historic Canals

·         Rijksmuseum

·         Vondelpark

Let’s just hope these stunning views help to distract Dave from the inevitable pain during the marathon!

Dave’s Training and Making a Donation

The Amsterdam Marathon is going to be tough, but Dave can handle it! Keep up to date with his training progress through our Twitter and Facebook.  Keep an eye out for our “donate for likes” posts on our social pages, these are an easy and simple way for you to get involved.

Let’s do this together!
