They say three is a magic number, and when it comes to these three talented ladies from, we definitely agree! Hailing from Canada, Joey Clarkson, Alexandra Mailot and Kirsten Ludwig have previously performed at ClashBAR in Clink78, one of our London hostels, as part of our Stay & Play programme. This time, they’re on tour in the Netherlands, ready to sing their hearts out at ZincBAR. Come on down to catch three exclusive sets that’ll give you a real taste of Canada.

Joey Clarkson

Joey Clarkson blends catchy pop melodies with the drive of and power of rock – and a little country thrown in for good measure! In 2015 she wrote and recorded her second record ‘Loving You is Breaking Me with Publisher/Proudcer/Songwriter Steven McClintock (Los Angeles, 37 Records) and Producer/Songwriter Kevin Fisher (Rascal Flatts). Joey has been busy touring her new single through western Canada, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Greece.

Alexandra Mailot

Alexandria Maillot speaks with her heart and feels with her lungs. Her brand of eclectic pop is characterised by fervid melodies, precise lyrics and a dynamic vocal ability. Hailing from Vancouver Island, Maillot has been steadily carving a name for herself in the Canadian folk scene. With an impressive list of accolades to her name and ten years of performance experience under her belt, she’s now embarking on her first international tour with fellow artists Ludwig and Clarkson, heading to The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Germany.

Kirsten Ludwig

A nomad at heart, Ludwig’s live performances contain multitudes – strength and grace, confidence and vulnerability. Quietly ambitious, Ludwig has been blazing new paths since starting to pursue music professionally in 2014. Her music is characterised by enigmatic yet genuine lyrics combined with stirring melodies. With two albums under her belt, Ludwig embarked on a solo cross-Canada house show tour with Dan Mangan’s madic Records. She’s now hit the road with fellow singer/songwriters Mailot and Clarkson, touring Germany, The Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland for six weeks.
