What’s the Opportunity?
We're looking for a positive and outgoing person for our hostel, with a passion for creating great guest experience and ensuring a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff. As a part of our Guest Services team you will work a minimum of two shifts per week (either 8pm to 4.30am or 10pm to 6.30am) with overtime available to cover holidays.
What will I be doing?
As a member of the security team you will be the face of Clink, welcoming visitors to the Hostel ensuring they have a reservation. You will also oversee our bar area and performing regular patrols of the building ensuring that everybody is secure and safe; that all aspects of the hostel is compliant with fire and health & safety policies. As part of the security team, you will also ensure noise outside of the building is kept to a minimum with minimal impact on our neighbours. At times the Night Duty Manager or Bar team may need your support with a difficult situation or conflict resolution, but the ultimate role is to ensure that our guests experience whilst staying with us is one that creates an awesome, positive, travel memory.
Who are you?
You are someone who has travelled and can relate to our guests, who is not afraid to be brave or to be the best you can be. You can work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure. You are fun, energetic, are open to new challenges and can seek solutions to our guest queries. You need to be happy interacting with guests and ensuring they have a great time whilst being able to step up and diffuse a conflict where necessary and must have your security licence. It would be desirable if you had previous experience in a similar role but not essential, an intermediate level of English is essential.
