IJ-Hallen is a huge warehouse in Amsterdam’s Northern district that plays host to Europe’s biggest flea market. Bargain hunters rejoice – you have found your mecca. With two grand halls packed to the brim with a vintage clothes, shoes, toys, tools, antiques (and maybe even a kitchen sink), you can find pretty much anything you might be looking for.
You’ll have to root through some junk, but there’s some real gems to be found if you’ve got the patience.
Find IJ Hallen at NDSM Werf, just a 5 minute cycle ride from ClinkNOORD. And once you’re all shopped out, treat yourself to a spot of lunch at the delicious Noorderlicht Cafe.
