St. Patricks Day is celebrated every year on the 17th March, but each year London hosts its own event in Trafalgar Square on the preceding Sunday.

The square is transformed into a green wonderland with brilliant Irish acts, brass bands, dancers, themed floats and traditional food and drink brought all the way from the Emerald Isle.

The Parade passes straight through Trafalgar Square, but for a better view take a spot on either Piccadilly, Lower Regent Street, the Mall, Cockspur Street or Whitehall.

The event is completely free, so make sure you don’t miss out on the best party in town.
