This swanky location is home to an inside lounge and an outdoor terrace which makes it the perfect spot to visit when the weather isn’t great. Although the bar has a great vibe it is expensive so your best heading elsewhere if you are on a budget. It also has a smart casual dress code so is perhaps best saved for special occasions … or if your feeling fancy. You can find the SkyLounge right by the Amsterdam Central Station.

Take the elevator to the 8th floor of Hotel Casa and you will find Hopp – one of the coolest beer gardens in Amsterdam. Located high above the bustling streets of the city, this cute little rooftop is a tranquil place to kick back and relax with a couple of drinks. The view is pretty spectacular to0. A’DAM Tower
Next up on our list is the epic A’DAM Tower rooftop bar. You can find the tower two minutes walk away from ClinkNOORD. It’s easy to spot it’s the massive tower just around the corner with a weird looking shape at the top, you can’t miss it. Order small snacks and drinks at The Rooftop Bar, on the LOOKOUT’s roof terrace during the daytime.
If you’re after a more hearty food offering and panoramic views, we recommend booking yourself a table at one of the restaurants inside the tower -Madam’s bar or the Panorama Restaurant are both great places for dinner or lunch. You can find these on the 20th floor

REM Eiland is home to a truly spectacular rooftop bar – complete with panoramic views over the Amsterdam Houthavens, the city and the IJ. The bar, which is open all week from 12:00 (weather permitting), is an ideal pit stop for travellers looking for a spot of lunch or a couple of aperitifs. During the summer months, they also host parties and special events so keep an eye out on their facebook page.

NEMO Panorama Terrace
Last but not least on our guide is the beautifully designed NEMO Panorama Terrace. Although not strictly a rooftop bar per se (it’s actually classed a city square), it’s a must-see spot for travellers. Here you can find open-air exhibitions, a large terrace perfect and a restaurant, all with stunning views of the city. The roof is also home to 25 different types of herbs and 20,000 Buckfast bees, but don’t worry we have been assured they don’t disturb those having picknicks! The roof is open daily to everyone for free between 10am-5.30pm.
