What’s the Opportunity?

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will support them in their role and strive to be a high performing department within the business. You will manage the day to day operation of the reception team both on the day and night shift in conjunction with the Front Office Manager and will be the main point of contact in the absence of the FOM. You will champion our Values within the department and create great employee experiences for our team.  The team at reception are the first interactions that our guests have when they arrive to the hostel and the last our guests see when they leave. You will have the opportunity to create lasting positive memories for our guests.

What will I be doing?

Some of your key responsibilities are:

  • Managing: Provide direction and guidance to the team by giving feedback, monitor progress encourage and motivate
  • Training: Identify any training needs for the team and design a training plan that benefits the guest and develops the team
  • Complaint Handling: Support and empower the team in relation to any guest concerns
  • Guest Oriented: Focus and listen to the needs of the guest. Identify gaps in service and look at creative ways to closing those gaps
  • Support: You will support the team with any queries they may have 
  • Collaborate: Work with your colleagues both in ClinkNOORD and across the company ensuring that communication is clear and free flowing 
  • Live our Values through your behaviours

Who are you?

You are someone who has travelled and can relate to our guests, who is not afraid to be brave or to be the best you can be. You can work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure. You are fun, energetic, are open to new challenges and can seek solutions to our guest queries. It would be desirable if you had previous experience in a similar role but not essential, an intermediate level of English is essential.
