ClinkNOORD first opened its doors to guests in August. No hostel, of course, can be officially ‘open’ without a big bash. So last week we threw our grand opening party! And what a night it was … We felt just like the cat that got the cream when Katie from the Hostel Girl said ‘There ain’t no party like a Clink party.’  Thanks Katie! The new hostel is set in the former Royal Dutch Shell Head Office and laboratories and from this heritage we drew our inspiration for the evening. Specialists in their field donned lab coats and goggles to provide guests with a smorgasbord of Instagram-worthy experimental food and drink – from steaming cocktails to blue Curaçao ice cream. Guests were given a tour of the hostel where they encountered a sleeping Mexican (who proceeded to serenade him with his guitar) and bands The Cut_ and Gallow Street kept the crowds dancing all night long. The hostel was officially opened by The Mayor of Amsterdam Eberhard van der Laan and the party continued into the wee small hours … Take a look at some of our favourite snaps from the party below.
