Girly things to Do
When traveling with the girls, sometimes you need a bit of peace and quiet. Check out the list below for a few of our favourite girly activities.
Peruse the Flower Market
Amsterdam is home to one of the only floating flower markets in the world, so it is well worth a visit. The beautiful market is a great spot to visit and an ideal place to grab some fresh cut flowers, blubs and Dutch souvenirs. You can find the floating flower market on the Singel Canal between the Konningsplein and the Munt Plein.
Shop until you drop
If your a girl group that loves to shop, you will feel right at home in the Dutch capital. From trendy vintage stores and fashion boutiques to your favourite high street stores, Amsterdam is a city with no shortage of places to shop. If you’re looking for vintage clothing and designer boutiques then head to De Negen Straatjes (‘The Nine Little Streets’). If it’s mainstream stores you’re after then head to the Dam Square Area. For high-brow label hunting then head to Amsterdam’s mini Fith Avenue, Pieter Cornelisz, Hooftstraat.
A weekend away with the girls wouldn’t be complete without a spot of pampering. Shake off the stresses of your home life and treat yourself to an indulgent massage at Rust. Or if it’s manicures you are after head to Tutti Colori or Nail salon MB. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a range of treatments then we recommend heading to Het Massagehuys or Ton Pho Thai, here you can find Thai yoga massage, body scrubs, facials and much more!

Top Brunch Spots
If you and your girlfriends like nothing more than a spot of brunch, then you will love Amsterdam. From the hearty to the healthy, there’s no shortage of places to grab a tasty brunch with the girls. Every neighborhood in the city has an eclectic mix of restaurants and cafes, all of which are battling it out for the prize of ‘best brunch’, this means you and your pals will be spoilt for choice! Check out the list below for a few of our favourite brunch spots – ideal for a girls weekend in Amsterdam:
Kicking off the list is Aussie inspired cafe/restaurant Little Colin’s. Their menu offers a fresh take on many brunch classics as well as freshly ground white label coffee and even cocktails – making it the perfect location for those looking to get the party started early.
CT Coffee & Coconuts
Next up is the funky and fresh Coffee & Coconuts. Cute, cozy and Instagram friendly, this cafe is an idyllic spot for brunch in Amsterdam. The cafe is housed inside a former 1920’s cinema so it’s effortlessly rustic and cool – the decor will have you wishing it was your house. Their Hawaii inspired food and coffee are also great. We recommend tucking into their delicious Coconut pancakes!
CT Coffee & Coconuts
If your girl squad are fond of pastries, then we strongly recommend a visit to Betty Blue. Here you can find a dazzling array of tasty cakes, muffins, and pastries – all of which are freshly baked in house. And it doesn’t stop at sweet treats. They have the savoury side covered too with delicious breakfast pizzas, scrumptious sandwiches and of course bacon and eggs.
This charming spot in the De Pijp district of Amsterdam serves up popular brunch staples, but thanks to their Swedish Chef, all their dishes have a slight Nordic twist. Think bear sausage, warming porridge, eggs over greens and hearty Scandinavian soups. They also offer a variety of coffee from specialty roasters, all the way from Scandinavia. Coffee heads, this one is for you!
Good to know: Want to know more about the principles of good coffee? Book your group a coffee tasting or barista class at the Scandinavian Embassy.
