Southbank Christmas Market

Great for: Hand crafted gifts, great looking knit-ware, handmade chocolates and all your little stocking fillers and Christmas gifts for your family and friends.

Why go:  London is well known for having some of the best Christmas Markets and the Southbank Christmas Market is one of the best. It has amazing little Bavarian style stalls and streets filled with the best Christmas decorations.

Southbank Centre

Great for: Seeing some of the best art work and arts in all of London, including the Haywood gallery and The Royal Gallery.

Why go:  The Southbank Centre is the largest single run arts centre in the whole world, making it one of the most sort after places to show and perform arts of all kinds.

Covent Garden Christmas Market

Great for:  Getting all those last minute gifts from some of the best Christmas stalls and boutique shops. There is always something for everyone.

Why go: Not just the great shopping expierence, but Covent Garden has one of the biggest Christmas trees in all of London, as well as a new addition this year in the form of a 22 foot tall silver Christmas reindeer. Don’t forget about the 150,000 Christmas lights that line the streets and market, making a beautiful place to be to get in the festive spirit, as well as a chance to pet real reindeer.

Winter Wonderland

Great for:  Everything Christmas. Winter Wonderland has been voted one of the best Christmas wonderlands in all of Europe. I has Ice Bars, A Magical Kingdom, Enchanted Snow and Ice show, Ice Rink and much more spanning one whole side of Hyde Park.

Why go: Hyde Parks Winter Wonderland is the place to be this December when in the capital. There is so much to do and buy in it Bavarian themed village. Grab some mulled wine, some Viking Mead, the best homemade Christmas pies or just wonder around this beautifully design wonderland.

Somerset House Ice Rink

Great for: Ice skating of course, with a stunning background of Somerset house which has house 3 queens in the years it has stood.

Why go: Again, Ice skating, but also there are food stalls available for all and places to get some of the best hot chocolate around. Somerset house is an arts and culture centre that has many exhibits on all year round that are usually free for visitors.
