Clink261 first opened its doors over fifteen years ago (it was known back then as ‘Ashlee House’). Time sure does fly! It feels just like yesterday that we said hello to our first guests. Our smallest hostel has come a long way since then but it’s still got that laid-back feel that backpackers love. Staying at Clink261 feels a bit like coming home. With friendly staff, comfortable sofas and regular movie nights, it’s a welcoming place to return to after a day of city exploration. The old Student Union building has been brought to life with cool Britannia interior design. At just five minutes’ walk from King’s Cross Underground, Clink261’s location is hard to beat.
Clink261 is an excellent hostel...clean, comfortable and vibrant. Formerly Ashlee House, the hostel had a major refurbishment in mid March 2010. Therefore, we must bear this in mind when reading the other comments prior to this. The rooms are now comfortable and the public areas are really colourful and exciting.
