THE STORY OF CLINK MAMA

MAMA knows what she’s doing. Ten years in, and she’s still the one everyone keeps coming back to.

The design does half the talking. There’s a café where the day starts with decent coffee and whoever sat down next to you. An indoor swing that’s never empty for long. Private room, dorms, female-only options — all of it wrapped in an atmosphere that’s hard to find anywhere else. Calm and loud at the same time.…

As hostels in Amsterdam city centre go, the location is hard to beat. Walking distance from Centraal Station, a stroll from Museumplein and the Van Gogh Museum, and close enough to the canals, bars and coffee shops that you won’t need to think about public transport once.

What is Clink MAMA Amsterdam like?
Clink MAMA is a design-led hostel in Amsterdam city centre, close to Dam Square and Rembrandt Square. Community-focused and full of character — a living room, garden, communal kitchen, arcade room and café all under one roof. Social events run regularly, making it a natural choice for solo travellers who want to meet people without having to try too hard.

What are Clink MAMA's check-in and check-out times?
Check-in at this hostel in Amsterdam city centre is from 4pm. Check-out is by 10am. Late checkout may be available on request — worth asking if you’ve got a late departure. Early check-in can be booked in advance. Online check-in is available via your booking confirmation.

Does Clink MAMA Amsterdam have luggage storage?
Yes. Clink MAMA has electronic lockers and reception storage. Dorm guests also have in-room lockers — bring a padlock. Bags can be stored at reception before check-in and after check-out on the day of travel. Drop them off and get out into the city.

Can I check in early or check out late at Clink MAMA Amsterdam?
Yes. Early check-in and late check-out are both available at Clink MAMA, subject to availability and an extra charge. Pre-book via your pre-arrival email to avoid disappointment — spaces go quickly. Standard check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am.

Does Clink MAMA Amsterdam have a café and bar on site?
Yes. Clink MAMA has a café/bar and a self-catering communal kitchen — coffee, snacks and light meals available throughout the day. Breakfast can be pre-booked online. Outside alcohol and food deliveries are not permitted, but with a café and bar on site, you won’t need them.
