Description
Clink78
London Calling! Clink78 is a vibrant and energetic hostel set in an old courthouse where punk band The Clash once stood trial.
Taking its name from the famous anarchists, our very own night-time venue ClashBAR is the perfect spot to meet like-minded backpackers and share travel stories over a cocktail and a slice of pizza. Sleep in an authentic prison cell or chill out in the original courtrooms of this grand Victorian building for a one-of-a-kind experience. Clink78 is a real slice of British history brought up to date with fun and colourful interior design.
Find the hostel in King’s Cross, a buzzing cultural quarter and London’s main transport hub. From the train station, we’re just 10 minutes’ walk away! Get full directions below!
From physical distancing meaures to cleaning with increased frequency, we’re doing what we can to make sure Clink78 is clean, safe and fun for all our guests. We’ve levelled up our safety measures, if you fancy a bit of light bedtime reading check them out here.

There are a lot of exits from the station, but don’t panic! Whichever exit you take, just make sure that Euston Road is in front of you and King’s Cross and St. Pancras Stations are behind you.
Cross Euston Road and then take a slight left to Gray’s Inn Road (you’ll pass a Tandoori restaurant on your right – but don’t let the delicious smells lure you in just yet!) Continue along this road and after about 5 minutes you’ll see our smallest hostel, Clink261 on your right. Not long to go now.
Carry on walking up Gray’s Inn Road. When you reach a set of Zebra Crossings, turn left down Acton Street. Walk along Acton street for a couple of minutes and you’ll reach a junction. Clink78 is right in front of you. It’s a large Victorian Courthouse building, so you shouldn’t miss it!
